@carina61   Tap on your steps icon on your dashboard.  Tap on the gear icon.  Now you can change any of your goals.  Whenever I change my step goal, I also change my distance goal.  It keeps the two goals matched.

what do you change your distance goal to?  if I changed it to say 11,000 or 12,000 daily steps goal?

@carina61   Most average height adults take slightly more than 2000 steps per mile.  So a fair place to start will be 6 miles with a 12,000 step goal, but be ready to tweak it.  Fitbit uses a steps x stride length to calculate your distance.  But your natural stride length is different at a 3 mph walk compared to a 4 mph walk.  So it it can take a little fine tuning to make the goals close to each other.  I also want to add that if you use the Exercise app with a GPS connected walk or run, Fitbit uses the GPS measured distance.  The exact same walk with and without GPS can have two somewhat different distances.

It is never a perfect match.  I just want them close.
