Hi @KathyDeruytter moved your posts to the Inspire 2 area of the forum for more relevant responses. According to the user manual - click to read - the Inspire 2 lacks an altimeter, which recognizes flights of stairs. Page 46 shows that information.

Hi @KathyDeruytter which device do you have? Not all Fitbit products have the necessary altimeter to detect altitude.

Thank you for your answer, I used to have another Fitbit with an altimeter... I'll remember this when I buy another fitbit 😉
