handedness and injury

Hi!  I'm right-handed and so prefer to wear my fitbit on my left wrist.  However, I have an injury that requires me to wear a brace on my left wrist when I'm lifting weights or using my left hand in my workout, so obviously I can't wear it on my left wrist during those workouts.  If I were to change the handedness when I work out (from non-dominant to dominant) and then back after I finish (to non-dominant) will this mess up the tracking?  Or if I switched the tracker from one wrist to the other, but didn't change the handedness, how much of an effect would that have?  The easiest thing, of course, would be to just leave it on my dominant wrist, but I find that option annoying as well.

Hi, @jennessaw! To be honest, I haven't noticed all that much difference in the sensitivity between dominant and non-dominant settings when tracking. What I would suggest you do is just set the tracking to dominant and leave it that way, even when you switch between wrists. That way, you'll have it set to neglect extra movements as much as possible, but I don't think it will make much difference one way or the other.

@jennessaw I agree with @MakMak; I wear my fitbit on both wrists and don't change the settings.  I don't notice any difference in my step count or activity to be honest.

I don't think you'll have any issues with incorrect tracking.
