Trying to set up a new inspire 2 using MacBook Air.  Keeps telling me to turn bluetooth on even though it's already on.

Hello @kd0 and welcome to the Community.  I'm sorry, but you can't set up your Inspire 2 on your MacBook.  You need a compatible smartphone or tablet

Hello @stanbaeralum and welcome to the Community.  If you downloaded Fitbit Connect from the setup page, there is a note that says that Fitbit Connect is for certain legacy devices.  Even though your Inspire 2 is set up, you can't sync with Fitbit Connect.  You need a compatible phone.  Your Inspire 2 stores seven days of detailed data.  When you get your new phone, download the Fitbit app and log in with your current email/password.

The essence of the problem is that suddenly the Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad "fall off" during operation. The connection is just lost on the spot. After that, I have to reboot the iMac to restore the connection. But sometimes after a few minutes and sometimes after a few hours the same problem again. More often than not, the accessories don't work after coming out of sleep mode. Weird bug. And it appeared out of the blue - I didn't install any new programs or change any settings. I found a couple of recommendations at https://cleanmymac.com/blog/clear-search-history-safari . These tips helped me to get rid of this problem.

@ValentinRodgers   In this particular situation, trying to sync an Inspire 2 to a MacBook, the problem is that Fitbit Devices stopped being compatible with Fitbit Connect in about 2017.  If you use an older device that is compatible, be aware that Fitbit Connect is being discontinued in less than two months.  You will need a compatible smartphone or tablet.
