I was having trouble getting it to sync fixed that I think but now I've noticed it counts way to many steps.

Hi @Mtnkat1969, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Inspire HR since it seems to be tracking too many steps. By the way, I'm glad to hear that you managed to get the syncing issue resolved.
Please restart your Inspire HR as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains why your Fitbit device may track extra steps. Finally, monitor your Inspire HR for the next 24 hours and see if the issue gets fixed.

Thank you for replying to me I don't want to send it back because my son bought it for me he lives in chicago and I live in Nicholasville kentucky ...I have read just about everything I could read changed the non dominint to dominate ..now I have took the time to map out the 20 feet and so forth but won't know anything until tomorrow I did not have this trouble with the last one it still works only problem is a little piece of plastic broke off where the pin goes to hold the band on it never added extra steps did everything it was suppose to do I'm really upset but I'm doing everything I can to get it right I'll let ya know tomorrow how resting the stride does I'll read what you sent but I promise you I have read everything and done most everything I can do thank you for getting back to me 😞
