Why wont my fitbit inspire HR count how many steps I do when I am on the treadmill ? can I fix it if I take it of My wrist and put it in my pocket ? like seniors do when they walk using a walker ?. On the treadmill it only looks at my heart rate, calories and my distance. I have to hang on to the handles on my treadmill or I loose my balance, Any help would be appreciated thank you

@bluey52 Wrist worn trackers need movement in order to sense steps. Holding the handrails on your treadmill keeps your arm from moving. People pushing carts and strollers have the same experience. The part of the devices that senses movement gets enough of a signal to measure steps in your pocket. Unfortunately, you lose the heart rate.
Try this. Can you tuck your Inspire HR in your sock? I recommend wearing it about an inch or so above your inside ankle bone. Don't bother taking the band off. Too much of an ordeal. I put trackers in my sock to test and see if this works. I get steps and my heart rate. I hope this helps you.
