i got a new samsung phone and decided to start using my fitbit inspire (not HR) again - i haven't worn it in several months. i fully charged it, did a restart and hooked it up with my new phone. as of today, it's not showing steps since early morning (3:27 am), and doing a manual sync doesn't update the time or steps. when i tried to sync it with my old phone, which it never had problems with previously, it showed a red exclamation point but when i clicked that, it just tried to sync again and failed. the newer phone doesn't show an exclamation mark or error message - it just won't sync.
i just noticed my fitbit says it's 10:07 - it's actually 3:07 pm where i am.
my fitbit itself shows thousands of steps; my new phone and dashboard show 111 steps, my old phone shows an error. edit: 4 hours later, the fitbit reset itself back to zero 😞
suggestions or thoughts?

for anyone reading this, here's an update.
i talked to fitbit support, and ultimately they and i decided the bluetooth was dead on my 20 month old inspire. i bought a used one to get me through till i decided what - if any - fitbit to replace it with. i was setting up the new (used) fitbit, but it wasn't sending me the code. i tried again and there was a buzzing on my desk - the original inspire, which i hadn't been able to synch over 20 times was buzzing so i set it up again. it synched a couple times, than never again, so i set up the new (used) fitbit, which synchs every time.
unfortunately after a few days of close step counts and synching, this evening it didn't count a single step from a vigorous dance and step workout - not one.
i REALLY miss my fitbit one and even my zip! they both always counted accurately for years.
