my inspire 2 HR no longer tracks sleep or HR data ever since app updated on 8/11/2023.  I've already rebooted the device twice.  Force stopped the app.  reinstalled app.  rebooted device.  unpaired, repaired device.  cleared data.  reset up device. all multiple times.  tried to search for data - not just a sync issue, there is no data stored since the app updated.  what the hell.

@Piggylou the Inspire HR and the Inspire 2 are different devices. There is no Inspire 2 HR.

If the device you have is actually an Inspire 2, it has a feature that it can be worn on a clip or on your wrist. It may be that your device is in "clip" mode. In that case, the heartrate monitor will not be turned on and you wouldn't get heartrate info or sleep details. To check this, press and hold both buttons on the sides of the Inspire 2. You'll get a list of settings. Swipe up until you get to the last one. It should say "On Wrist", if you want see your heart rate. If it says "On Clip", tap on that and change it to "On Wrist".

If you actually have an Inspire HR and not an Inspire 2, write again and we can talk about how to troubleshoot that.

I am having the same issue. It has not tracked sleep or activity for  several days now. I followed the above advice, and it is set for "On wrist". What's up?

Good to see you for the first time in the community @Piggylou @bdmxtra. Thanks for helping @alexthecat

Thanks for sharing the inquiry regarding your Inspire 2, and for trying to fix it.

@Piggylou I've been informed that you already contacted the Customer Support team for further assistance with this. In this case, they will let you know how to proceed.

@bdmxtra please keep in mind that there are some factors that may prevent your tracker from recording your sleep. Please make sure of the following:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device as described in this help article.
  • If you slept for less than 1 hour for sleep patterns or less than 3 hours for sleep stages.
  • If your device’s battery is critically low.

I know that you already did a restart, but please let me know if you did the same procedure as described here.

In addition, please wear your device on your non-dominant hand and monitor it for the next few days. In the meantime, for the nights that don't have sleep data, you can manually log your sleep by going to the Fitbit app, tapping on the "+" icon next to the sleep tile > Add Sleep Log and entering your details.

Hi, yes, I have twice now restarted my inspire 2 as directed, following the steps outlined. It had no problem restarting, but still did not record sleep data and is not syncing with the app downloaded on my computer. There is some data on the device, but it does not match the data on the pc.

Thank you for helping!
