I have inspire HR. Prior to 8/16/20 when tracking walk from the device, afterwards on the iphone app it would be a wiggly line, pretty much the path I took. After 8/16 was there an "upgrade" in the software? Because now, my tracing is a combination of straight lines even cutting across peoples houses which I don't do. It's like its only sampling every 10-15 steps.
It seems like that's why when I do the exact same walk, of 3.04 miles it can vary up to 3.45 miles.
or 2.9 miles
I haven't used it with the tracing with just using the tracking from the phone app, but from what I have read it seems that's how that tracks also.

Same here except I have an Android. I totally understand the wiggly line thing - it looks like I flew from my starting point to half way through my walk/run. It looks really weird on the map feature. I do the exact same walk every day too... 😞

thanks,
I will try the restart. But I have good gps service where i walk, but the way the tracing is, it looks like it doesn't pick up the device all the time, even tho it is paired with the iphone app.

I did the restart, and the walk tracing looks like it did before. More like the gps is picking me up all the time rather than at intervals. The miles matches what I have done before.
thanks

I read through a few other posts and one user suggested to make sure your device is using your phone's GPS. I tried that and it did work, at least for the 1st time I adjusted that setting. So if anyone else has this problem, look at your settings, change if necessary and restart.
Glad you were able to fix it - here's to hoping that it continues to work for you!
