wearing inspire in above ground pool

I hope someone can help me. The chat person did not seem to answer my question satisfactorily

My inspire tracker works FINe when I treadmill or do any other activity. BUT when I wear it in my above ground pool( and have my hand either above or below the water level) it does NOT record any activity- Any ideas to help figure this out??

"does not record any activity" - Can you be more specific?  Do you mean nothing is recorded while in the pool on daily graphs - no steps, calories?  Do you mean it does not register an exercise session?

Remember it is on your wrist - what are you arms doing?  If you are just moving your legs without pumping arms is when walking, it cannot tell.

do you know I am chatting with someone now on the Fitbit chat support- and they do not know what they are talking about? Here is my plight- listen carefully please--- My inspire works FINE when I walk either around my house- or in my small backyard or on my treadmill. It records fine-- and the walking I do is NOT briskly!!!- I walk around my neighborhood since the pandemic- with my family at a LEISURELY pace- not swinging my arms like an animal!!!- Yet when I walk the SAME way in my pool - arms walking and swinging like I am walking anywhere else EXCEPT  now I am in the POOL(really not hard to understand)- it does NOT record my activity--- Do you know that i have been on chat now with a second rep- and they have NO idea- and the answers they are giving me is ridiculous-- like they have no idea of what I am saying??  as I mentioned above-- this is a simple picture to paint for anyone to see!!- Walking around a pool - arms moving like a regular walk that I always do for a middle-aged woman- not an athlete- or bodybuilder or CrossFit or MMA- JUST a regular activity which THIS tracker is SUPPOSED to record- and  it does BUT NOT IN THE POOL??? I hope someone can help- this is getting ridiculous- that everyone seems to answer my question with more questions - that do not need to be asked since this is really a simple problem to hopefully get an answer to??
