2300 steps while I wasn't wearing versa- can I remove?

I woke up to 2300 steps while  I wasn't wearing the versa 2? I only got it yesterday, so now sure why this happened. how do I prevent and can I remove those steps?

Was it sitting somewhere with a lot of vibrations, like on a table beside a fan?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Sometimes those vibrations get interpreted as steps.  When not wearing it, better to find someplace with no vibrations, or on something soft.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
