4+ hours of my life wasted, I guess

My versa 2 died. I bought a V3 today. It will not connect to my wifi whatever I do, it won’t find it even sitting ON the wifi box. It keeps telling me my wifi password is wrong as well (it’s not). I tried a Bluetooth update and it died at 45% twice. I am at my wits end. The MAC address on the box is so obscure to find and small and I honestly don’t think it matches the watch in my box but I can’t tell as you need to set it up to check it in the watch settings. I am so frustrated right now. Nothing should be this hard to connect.  I’ve tried both my iPhone and iPad and now am just considering returning it to the store tomorrow.  Totally ridiculous!

Ok a sort of update. It’s Bluetooth updating again on my iPad this time but has been at 25% for over 40 minutes. I should have just returned it as I have to sit by a PowerPoint/usb and keep my iPad from sleeping lest it fails once again. It’s gonna be one horribly long night. Probably the wrong thing to say to a fitness app, but please send happy vibes and chocolate.

Ok I’m now losing the will to live. Another half hour has passed and it has moved about 2%. I’m going to be long retired before this finishes, if it does. I’m finding myself talking to tennis balls named Spaulding and roasting roaches on an open fire.

The watch faces I can see available are multicoloured 80s monstrosities. I had a very pretty one on my V2. I’m so sad.

OMG! I don’t know if the stars aligned, there was sudden world peace 🕊or it was solar flares, but suddenly the update went gangbusters and about another 30 mins later I could see an ugly clock face! I found my way to the MAC address setting and yep, completely different to the number I thought was a MAC address on the box (whhhyyy??!). I hooked it up and BAM! It started working on wifi. That would have been really handy 4 hours ago.

I'm going out tomorrow now, not to return this here mind destroying watch, but to buy myself a lottery ticket because after a lot of effort I feel like I’m finally winning now. If I’m lucky it might count my steps too! Hooray! I did like my last two fitbits. I hope this grows on me too, (even if the watch faces seem to be all acid trips)💝💘
