Is there a way to change hourly steps to a bigger number than 250?

Hi there, @JillRFTH. Welcome to the Community Forums.
Thank you for your suggestion. We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers.
As @Guy_ has said, for the time being, there's no way to change the hourly activity goal to a bigger number than 250 steps. However, the best place to make your voice heard is the Feature Suggestion board on our community. Please take a moment to visit and give us your feedback. To learn more about how Fitbit decides which suggestions get developed, visit our FAQs.
If you find that a similar suggestion has already been made by another member of the community, you can vote for their idea and add your comments. We look forward to reading your suggestions.

Unfortunately not.
Probably from research that 250 is sufficient to have an active life style.

I wish there were a way to make that change. 250 steps for 12 hours only gets you to 3,000 steps. No where near the 10,000 steps per day goal.

@JillRFTH - @jennebelle - The point of the 250 steps per hour is to make sure you do the minimum amount of activity to avoid being sedentary.
To reach your 10,000 steps goal one is suppoed to do some exercise too!
Both hourly and step goals should be reached independently because that is what is generally recognised as necessary for living a healthy life.
The maximum move hours that can be set is 14.
Of course each person has different requirements and needs so most likely its only a general guideline and you are free to adapt as you wish.
