Active Mins and Calories MAXED OUT!

Okay, so today I exercised a lot. And when I say a lot I mean a lot. And I discovered for the first time that active minutes have a cap of 720! After that, no matter how much you exercise, they will not go any higher. I also discovered that it’s the same with calories burned (no higher than 5,294), which really annoyed me as I use my calories burned a lot when I exercise on a minute by minute basis to see if I should ease back or speed up, in conjunction with my heart rate zone. I had no clue until today that active minutes and calories burned had a maximum! My steps and miles still continued to go up but that’s it. What’s the reason for this? Why put a cap on just those two? What if you’re an athlete who does intense training? I’m not but I do on occasion do a lot of exercise, as shown today. What bothered me even more is I’m in a custom challenge right now that focuses on active minutes and I continued exercising for more than an hour after my active minutes stopped calculating. That’s 60 mins. For the challenge it’s multiplied by 3. That’s 180 mins that haven’t been added to my score because “technically” they don’t even exist! I’ve taken a screenshot of my stats at 7.30pm. As it’s now nearly the end of the day I have over 122,000 steps and over 60 miles, however my active mins remain at 720 and my calories still remain at 5,294. Can someone explain this to me please? I don’t understand the reasoning or the logic, and please don’t say “Oh well that is a lot of exercise...”. It may be to some people but it’s all about perspective.

Spent a bit with moderators needing to unmark my topic as spam (I have no idea why, think it was an automatic thing) so my topic was way down the list by the time it came back onto the board! Hoping this reply will bring it back up again so people actually see it 🤞🏻
