Active Minutes not recording

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have looked through posts about this topic and attempted to troubleshoot. Nothing has worked.

My Fitbit Versa will not calculate or record active minutes on the watch, the Android app, or the web site. This is not an effect of not being "active enough", as I have heart rate data to prove it (e.g. from this morning's spin class: 12 peak HR minutes, 24 cardio HR minutes, and 108 fat burn minutes). I swear I saw active minutes during the first sync after class, and then they disappeared. I have restarted the watch, uninstalled/reinstalled the app, and become quite frustrated. I have not restored factory defaults yet.

Anything else I can do?

Hi @ljgdvm ! Welcome to the Fitbit Community.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding your Fitbit Versa tracking your active minutes accurately. Thank you for sharing the additional details, I appreciate your troubleshooting efforts. Please take in consideration that the active minutes are only awarded after 10 minutes of continuous moderate-to-intense activity without stopping. I would like to confirm how do you track your exercises - logging manually, with the Exercise app or via SmartTrack?

Looking forward to your response!

Hello!
I manually track my workouts. I understand that active minutes must be of
at least moderate intensity and 10 minutes straight. This is definitely
achieved in my spin classes!

Hi @ljgdvm, thank you for your reply!

I appreciate the additional details that you manually log your workouts. Because manually logged activities overwrite device data, it’s possible that the manually logged activity has a lower intensity than what the device itself recorded. Let's try to not log your workouts manually and see if the number of your active minutes increase. You can use the Exercise app or let your device track your workouts automatically

Let me know how it goes!
