Active minutes disappear

I’ve been having this issue all week.  My active minutes are all over the place.  I was on the treadmill and my active minutes were 36, I look down a minute later and my active minutes are dropped to 13, 20 minutes later I’m at 29 active minutes and then as I’m looking at it my active minutes drops to 11.
My heart rate is tracking in my watch but according to my app my heart has just stopped beating basically.  This is getting annoying....

Hi @jma572, thank you for your reply.

I appreciate the additional details and recommend checking the troubleshooting steps from this help article if your heart rate is not being tracked: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device?

Thank you for the information that you have MyFitnessPal linked to your Fitbit account. Since MyFitnessPal sends to Fitbit logged food and activities, the information recorded by your watch could be overridden by the information from MyFitnessPal which can result in losing the active minutes recorded by your watch.

Let me know if the issue persists.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @jma572.

I am glad to assist you with your concern about your active minutes which disappeared after you synced the device. I understand how you are feeling and appreciate your efforts to resolve this. As you know, the active minutes are awarded when the activity you're doing or logging is more strenuous than regular walking. Also keep in mind that active minutes are only recorded for activities that last 10 minutes or longer. For more information about how the active minutes are calculated, please see this help article: What are active minutes?

In order to investigate, please let me know if you used the Exercise app to track your treadmill workout or let the exercise to be automatically recognized? Do you have any third party app connected to your Fitbit account?

Regarding the heart rate, please confirm if you don't see your heart rate when you check your exercise details while you see your heart rate on the watch? For more information about tracking heart rate, please see this help article: How do I track my heart rate with my Fitbit device?

Looking forward to your response.

In the instances that my active minutes have jumped around I do have an active heart rate on my versa but that also jumps around.  Maybe it’s my heart rate monitor as I have had days I’m wearing my versa all day and I have no heart rate tracked on the app.
I don’t normally use the exercise tracking my time on treadmill and just use it until my active minutes hit 40....which is difficult when it jumps 😊

I also do link my Fitbit to my fitness pal.
