is there a way to lock the screen on the versa? I tried to use it to track a boxing workout last night and the boxing glove touched the screen a few times thus pausing my workout! Help appreciated.

Good Morning @Confidentlyella,

Unfortunately No, but maybe you can reposition the Versa, so that it won't interact with your gloves?  Normally I would say Keep on STEPPING, but in your case I think I'll tweak that to, Keep on BOXING!

The post you mentioned in your email does not address the issue of raised by us. While doing my workout today my watch kept pausing because I would accidentally hit the bottom right button on my Versa.

Also, the description on the website for the Versa mentions adding 15+ exercise modes but mine only has seven. How do you add more?

Thank you,

Hello @jmg425, thanks for taking the time to reply, I hope you're doing well. Smiley Happy

Thanks for clarifying this for me, for what I understand in the original post, the screen was being woken up because the screen kept being touched but now I understand you're having trouble because the button gets pressed when you're working out. In this case I would like to second what @GySgt_Seidell mentioned and try to use your Versa bit higher on your arm to prevent this from happening. However, I would like to suggest you to check @Sharpypus's suggested idea that is more in line to what you mention. Feel free to add your vote and comment!

Now, when it comes to what you mentioned about the Versa having 15+ exercise modes. Please note that you can add them to your Exercise Shortcuts by tapping on Account > Versa  > Exercise Shortcuts:

You can have 7 at a time. If 7 exercise shortcuts are already in place and you want to replace one of them, swipe left on the shortcut you want to remove and tap on Delete:

The, tap on "+ Exercise Shortcut" to add another one, then sync your Versa and the exercises will show up on the Exercise app.

I hope this resolves your inquiry, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

FITBIT, please can you add an option to lock the screen whilst working out! I can't believe we can't do this already. It is a pain when it keeps pausing.

I have my new versa and I can not believe there is no way to lock the screens. This is a big issue.  It is not only when touching the screen, but when doing push-ups or floor exercise in a hitt training my hand pushes the right buttons and pause the workout.

Really bad design.  I use it in my right hand for workouts but this doesn’t makes sense.

I just bought a Garmin watch for more serious training.  I keep the versa as daily use watch.   Garmin has a nice feature where all the user inputs can be locked to prevent accidental button presses.   Fitbit lacks this feature and so it really can not be trusted even with long sleeves.  It is a serious issue that could be fixed with a simple software update.

Yes please add a lock screen toggle.
