How can I add my new Versa and take off the Alta and give it to my son?

It is the same process as you did for Alta. Click on your dp in your app dashboard. There will be your existing tracker listed. Now there will be a link "Set up a new device". Click it and Follow the steps from there to add the Versa for you. Adding this new device will take off Alta from your account.

For setting up the Alta for your son, you need another device with the fitbit app installed and there you can add the device. You may need to factory reset the alta to remove your existing data from the tracker.

Hope this helps..

@Anditau   Adding your Versa to your account will not automatically remove the Alta.  There is a two step process to removing your Alta.  On your page of devices, you need to tap on the picture of your Alta, then scroll down and tap on Remove This Alta.  You also need to got to the Bluetooth settings in your phone and remove the Alta from your Bluetooth list.

Also, you don't say your son's age.  If you are in the US, your son must be 13 or older to have his own account.  If your son is younger, then the account must be set up as a Family Account.  The only devices allowed on a Family Account for children are the Ace/Ace 2.  In a nutshell, it's all about internet privacy laws.
