Adjusting stride length in Versa Lite

My Versa Lite has my stride as too short and therefore calculates my walked distance incorrectly. I have tried to follow instructions found on this forum to adjust the stride length, but can't seem to be able to follow the directions. I have walked a known distance (seven miles) and my Fitbit indicates I have only walked six miles. How do I fix that?

To adjust stride length on phone app:

Day of exercise tile > gear icon (near top right) > Stride length

In your case, assuming you Fitbit measurement of 6 miles was not using connection to phone's GPS, multiply walking stride length by 7/6  (or 1.167).

You can measure your stride length manually and add it to your Fitbit account.

How do I measure my stride length?

1. Go to a place where you're sure of the distance, such as a track.
2. Count your steps as you walk or run, making sure you travel at least 20 steps.
3. Divide the distance traveled (in yards or meters) by the number of steps you took to determine your stride length. If needed, convert your stride length into inches or centimeters.

How do I add my stride length to my Fitbit account?

Fitbit app

1. Tap the Today tab  , and tap your profile picture.
2. Tap Activity & Wellness   > Exercise  > Stride Length.
3. Adjust your stride length.

That’s the same directions that I read earlier and I don’t understand them. Here is what I don’t understand. 1. There is a Today button at the bottom left of my screen. I can tap on it all day and nothing happens.There is also a TODAY at the top center of my screen. As with the other one, it doesn’t respond to my tapping it. 2. What profile picture? I have no profile picture that I can find anywhere in my Fitbit app. Please give me some better instructions, or inform me that I can’t do that for some reason. Thanks.

This still doesn’t make sense to me. What is a “day of exercise tile?” I have a TODAY at the top center of my phone screen but tapping on it does nothing. Help.
