After switching off heartrate it doesn't stop

Dear Fitbit,

Purchased Versa yesterday overall I'm happy with the product but there is only one problem. After selecting heart rate option to off why is the green led light still blinking that is causing a lot of battery drain. Please find a solution. Hoping a great service from you. Reply ASAP.

Thank you

This is expected behaviour and not something that fitbit are looking to fix. They say:

"Note that the green LED on the back of Versa continues to flash even if you turn off heart rate tracking."

This is from page 41 of the versa manual at https://staticcs.fitbit.com/content/assets/help/manuals/manual_versa_en_US.pdf

Thanks for your very quick response , but may I know the reason? Why? I've
gone through the agreement already this morning. If you could help me
that'll will be great because it's unnecessary waste of battery.

Warm Regards

I'm afraid I've never seen anything from fitbit that explains why they chose to make it that way.

You could create a feature suggestion proposing that they change the way it works:

I've had a quick look and it doesn't seem to have been suggested before.

Note that even with the lights on all the time you should still get up to 5 days between charges.
