I noticed after upgrading my Versa 2 to 72.1.9 that when I receive notifications they no longer show up in the notifications are when you pull down the main screen. It used to keep old notifications there, but now nothing. Did I miss that in the release notes for the new release? I didn’t change any setting intentionally except upgrading the software on the watch.

Hi there @SunsetRunner! Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your Versa 2.
Please verify if notifications were not accidentally turned off after the update. For more information, see Troubleshooting quick tips for iPhones
If the issue persists, I'd like to know if you're not getting any notification at all or if there's one notification app in specif that doesn't come through your watch.
Let me know how it goes.

Notifications pop up on the watch screen, but after they go away there is no history on the watch of what was received. I do not clear them so for some reason they are just vanishing after popping up. I used to be able to “scroll down” from the main screen to see what was received, but now all I get is the “Nothing new here - you’re all caught up” message. I’ve tested it with texts, emails, calendar alerts, various apps like WhatsApp, Outlook, and more, and the results are the same. The first notification shows up on the screen, vanishes when it times out, then if you try to find it on the watch there is nothing.

@SunsetRunner Please keep in mind that if you clear a notification from your phone, the notification is removed from your device.

I do not clear the notifications from the device. I don’t touch it after receiving them. When I try to find out what the notification was it is no longer there on the device or in the history on the device of notifications received. This worked prior to the latest upgrade.

@SunsetRunner In this case I'd recommend removing the access to the notifications and then, set them up again. Try the complete set of troubleshooting steps. See Why are notifications delayed or missing?
Let me know if the issue persists afterwards.

Thanks, tried all that and I do receive the notifications as before but they are not sticky on the device and only appear once when they are originally received by the device, then vanish from it entirely.

@SunsetRunner You're welcome!
I appreciate you had followed the tips and recommendations provided above. Since this sounds a bit more serious, I've created a support case on your behalf - you should receive an email from Customer Support at the email you used to register with the Community forums. Thanks! It is a bit of a poser. The Versa 2 has worked flawlessly since I have had it, this is just a minor annoyance that was introduced in the last upgrade.
