Airpods won't pair with my Versa 2

I have been using AirPods with my Versa 2 for over a year now to listen to music. Sometimes there is no sound when the music is playing. When this happens, I remove the AirPods from the Fitbit in Settings> Bluetooth and then add them back. Now when I do this the Fitbit gets stuck on "Pairing AirPods" with the spinning blue circle, I never get the green check mark. The Fitbit sees the AirPods and lets me select them but won't pair. I have tried resetting both the Fitbit and AirPods many times. The AirPods pair fine with two different iphones and with my Windows PC. Also, I was able to pair a Bluetooth receiver with the Fitbit with no issues. The Fitbit just won't pair with the AirPods anymore.

Hi there, @JohnPav. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. I understand where your concern is coming from.

You do need to place the AirPods in pairing mode:

From apple support:

Put both AirPods in the charging case and open the lid. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white. Select your AirPods in the Devices list, then click Connect.

For more information, see How do I connect Bluetooth audio devices to my Fitbit watch?

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the response. I have followed the steps you mentioned both in the past and currently to put the Airpods in pairing mode (White light flashing). The Airpods show up on the Fitbit but when I select them the Fitbit blue circle just keeps spinning and the Airpods never pair. I have not had a problem pairing them in the past. This issue just started a few days ago.
