Alarm activates at set time when switched off

Why does my alarm activate at the set time even though I have it switched "off" and the icon shows a red alarm clock with a slash through it?  I would like to leave the time stored on the watch and turn the alarm on and off as needed.  Why have an on and off selection?

That is weird. Try restarting the Versa several times and see if that fixes it.
