When My versa 2 just arrived and I used Alexa and it worked for a few times that I tried it. Later on I tried using it again l and now it doesn’t recognize my voice no matter what I say constantly says sorry please try again.
I’ve also tried shutting it off and turning it on again with no luck
is anyone else having the same problem or know a fix?

I tried all of the above, as well as changing my network on the phone to 2g, 2/3g, etc and none of that worked. I just purchased this today and am really frustrated as the only reason to get the Versa 2 is for the Alexa capability.

I'm having the same issue. After reading all these posts and trying most of the fixes, I found that my issue is the mic. I can get mine to work if I blow into the mic. That starts the Alexa bars moving so it can hear. Then when I ask it to do something, most of the time it gets it wrong. And if I don't talk loudly directly into the mic it can't even hear me at all. This is definitely a defect in their product and they should be fixing and replacing these phones. I bought this model because of the Alexa function and now I find it was a complete waste of money.

I am on watch number 4. I too discovered that if I blow into the microphone I can get it to work. Still have problems but I can get it to work most of the time by doing this.

I asked Alexa for my horoscope once. After that, any question I asked, Alexa wanted to know my sign. I tried everything to fix it, but what finally worked was changing the language for Alexa on my Fitbit app, asking a question, then changing the language back. I don’t know why this worked, but it did.

I tried all things listed as well, I was about to try steaming it like someone mentioned then it dawned on me that I had a can of air! Shot some air in the mic hole and it's back to working again! 😁

So I exchanged my Fitbit at Costco for a new one. The new one lasted one day before the same think started again. I can no longer ask Alexa anything. After pushing the button it doesn't do anything until I blow in the mic, after which it will start looking for my voice but doesn't understand anything. I see that blowing canned air fixed, but I'm guessing that won't last long. This is a clear defect and Fitbit should be doing something about it.

I've been having the same issues with Alexa not working. Also had problems with voice reply not working. It kept saying "Transcription Error". I called Fitbit and it was a quick fix. 4 steps: -Update the fitbit app on my phone -Sync my Fitbit to the phone -Turn off fitbit. Once it's on again Sync fitbit to phone again. Boom problem fixed for me!

I found going into Alexa on my Fitbit app
Changed the language from English to French and synced it and asked the time where it worked in French.
I switched back to English and synced it and it now works.

Got mine today and Alexa won’t work at all. Returning it Monday because every Fitbit I get has issues.

This fix worked for me! Changed my language to spanish, asked it a couple of questions, then back to English (US) and it works just fine now. Thank you!

A metal curved plate in the shape of a horse's hoof is hung over the door and windows as a talisman that protects against adversity and attracts grace. The horseshoe, as a symbol of happiness and good luck, has not so deep roots. Want to know more?
