I've not been able to make Alexa on my Versa 2 recognise voice commands to control my home's smart devices. At every attempt, the watch just shows the message, "I didn't find any smart home devices under ****'s account. To get started, go to the Smart Home section of the Alexa App."
- My FitBit app is linked to Alexa.
- Alexa has the FitBit Skill added, and is linked to my FitBit account.
- Alexa has a number of smart devices and Skills added, which can be controlled just fine via voice commands when using Alexa on my phone (Galaxy s9+).
- Within the Alexa App, my Versa 2 does not appear within the list of devices shown under Settings > Device Settings. I only expected to see it there based on old posts to this forum, so I'm not 100% sure that this is part of the problem.
- I've tried every combination and variation of uninstalling/reinstalling, logging out/in, rebooting, and factory resetting you can come up with, though none of it has fixed this issue.
- I'm in Australia, I don't know if perhaps that's relevant.
- FitBit app version is 3.36
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm disabled, so most of the exercise/health features of this watch are no use to me - I just need it to control Alexa (and Spotify). Cheers!
