Hi everyone! I am posting this after going through many posts about the fact that my Fitbit versa 2 screen won’t wake with movement. I made sure all my settings were correct, etc. What it turned out to be was the fact that the sensor on the Fitbit did not like my non-dominant wrist .My non dominant wrist is a bit narrower and I practically had to twist it 180 degrees to wake the screen. When I switched to my dominant wrist, which is a little bit thicker, the wake screen function worked perfectly. Just remember to go into your fit bit app on your phone and make sure non-dominant or dominant hand is selected depending on where you choose to wear it (Account>Versa2 > Wrist).

Thank you for the information provided.
I'm pretty sure this procedure will be useful for other Fitbit users experiencing difficulties to turn on the screen.
