I’m really interested in upgrading my blaze to the versa as it looks better and has more features. The only thing is I’m apprehensive about the whole body being aluminum. I avoid prolonged contact and putting things on my body that are aluminum due to my grandmother developing a very intense case of Alzheimer’s from daily contact with aluminum. With the almost 24/7 time I wear my blaze, plus the leeching that occurs from metals especially when sweat is involved, I’m skeptical. The blaze is at least plastic in the back that touches my skin. Thoughts from people or from Fitbit?

@EliseMonique Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! I would like to start by saying that I am no doctor nor have any type of certification about this subject. The best thing I can suggest is that you contact a health professional and ask for their opinion especially someone who know about this disease and its probable causes. What I have read is that what impacts your body is the amount of aluminium you ingest or absorb and this is done usually through food, water, body lotions, sunscreen lotions and cosmetics. The body can handle aluminium as it can be found naturally in many plants but the excess that now exist through other products may increase the development of this disease. I don't know how much a physical object can affect the level of aluminium or how much your body can absorb so as I said the best thing is to ask some who is informed about this.
Let me know how it goes!
