‘Always On’ does not work with music

Want constant heart rate view during workout and to listen to music downloaded to Versa. Always on setting works until I use watch to skip song or adjust volume...then I have to keep pressing button to see HR. Only way to Always On back is to stop work out and restart. Setting never changes from Always On, it just stops working. Going back to my Polar if this cutting edge watch can’t handle this simple task.   Any help?  Thanks.

@Tim9 Have you tried rebooting your tracker several times by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until the Fitbit logo flashes? If this does not help, perhaps you could post your suggestion in the Feature Suggestion Forum to draw attention of the mods and so others could vote for it?
