Am I telepathically connected to my versa?

I’m breaking in a new watch band on my formal watch so I’ve been keeping my versa in my front pants pocket to log my steps. On the app today it is reading my heart rate and I think it’s pretty accurate. Is Fitbit now guessing an HR when not on the wrist?

Hi, the only thing I can think of is that the Versa is picking up the pulsations of your Femoral Artery, which is close to your front pants pocket. Otherwise it should not be tracking your HR.
