Hi
I just requested a refund for my Versa after 10 days of frustrating use , there is a real issue with notifications, I trying every suggestion on the internet to fix it without any luck.
I missed very important calls because for some reason the watch stopped receiving calls notifications, I restarted my Bluetooth, re paird the watch over and over again, to receive notifications temporarily and then after an hour or so, it stopes again, its totally connected totally synced, but not receiving notifications on my Oneplus 5
It reminds me with the first version of Pebble, Versa still have a long way to go, I recommend not buying it yet, wait for the next version.

@SamehBijo Mate, unfortunately that's on OP. I'm on OP3T so I know. OP runs its own killer process such as bgdetect that simply wipes any services and process it deems unworthy. The problem is that the apps in the foreground get killed as well. Android guidelines specifically recommend keeping any apps with keep alive widgets well - alive - but OP chose not to. Just go and check OP forum. It's a bad practice. The only way to resolve that issue is to lock the app in the foreground. Check how here. My notifications are working now.

I'm having the exact same problem. notification for a few hours then won't receive any. I have to restart watch again to get notifications. This is a pretty wide spread problem after the update to V3. My versa was working fine before the update. So I don't think it's a problem with the phone.

I have exactly the same problem. Few days after updating my Versa notifications just stopped working entirely. I have disabled battery optimization, locked the app in recents, but it's still not working.

@SamehBijo OP = OnePlus. Try downgrading Fitbit mobile app to 2.74.2 That's the most stable build for my OnePlus 3T (OP3T). You will also need to make sure that Always Connected, All-day Sync and Keep Alive widget are enabled, and that Fitbit mobile app is locked in Foreground. OnePlus kills anything that uses a lot of CPU (not only RAM) for more than 5 seconds... So... when Fitbit mobile app syncs - KILL KILL KILL... Thank you, OP. 😞

@jy1 In case of OP, unfortunately the problem partially stems from Oxygen OS. yeah well. Below procedure usually restores the BT connection and sync, but if the Fitbit app gets killed it will need to get locked in Foreground. In OP's case disabling battery optimization is not enough. Having a widget ON is not enough. One needs to lock the app in the Foreground.
The trick here is to not pair in phone Bluetooth settings but rather let the Fitbit mobile app do that.
Additional tips if sync issues persist: If you have Wifi set up, go to Fitbit mobile app and remove it, then sync your Versa. I noticed that it causes issues for me. If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your phone, forget them. One of them might be causing issues. Also, make sure Always Connected, Keep Alive widget and All day sync are enabled. If all fails, downgrade Fitbit mobile app to version 2.74.2. That's what I'm currently running.

but if the issue is related to One Plus , how come the notifications work after I restart my Versa , I don't restart the phone , I restart the watch , I receive notifications for the next 2 hours , then nothing . restart again .....

@SamehBijo In my case, restarting Versa was never enough. To get more permanent fix, I would have to unpair and reboot both devices. Oh and downgrade to 2.74 as that was the build that worked best for me.

Update:
I got Samsung Galaxy s10 just because I desperately want the versa to work reliably, and I would say, its only a little bit better, notification are showing on Versa more often , but still, turning off and on blutooth is something I have to do every 3 to 4 dyas, and when I move away from my phone out of blutooth range and get back, it takes forever for the Versa to re receiving notifications.
Conclusion, Versa software is broken, Fitbit doesn't seem to care to push more updates to the software as often as they should , I see people complaining about the same notifications issues everywhere....
I miss Pebble.
