An App is Needed to Use this Device??

Suddenly my Versa 2 no longer receives text messages on the watch. Checked to see if it was still connected to Bluetooth and when I click on Versa 2 it pops a message - An App Is Needed to Use This Device. I have the app. Everything was working a week ago. I cleared the app cache - restarted the phone and the watch. Nothing is working. Within in app I can sync the device. But still don't receive text messages on the watch or have it connect to bluetooth. Anyone else having this issue? Need help.

This is now happening to me. No texts, no calls, can't connect earbuds, can't use Spotify.  Fitbit has become quite unreliable and I'm about to switch to a Samsung watch.

I am getting this error for an Ace 3.

I bought 2 Ace 3s in December. Initially, it was painful to sync them both. Not seamless, very clunky. But one of them died after 4 months. Tech support sent a new one. Could not get it to sync. Keep getting the error, Download or update the app to continue. I have the app. The other kid's Ace 3 is connected to it.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, turned off bluetooth, turned it back on...3 long chats with tech support. Multiple emails.

I sent it back and then sent a new one. This one is doing the same thing!

Same error. I can't get it to connect. I get to the screen with the 4 digits and then I get an X in a circle. and then the fitbit tells me i need an app to connect.

I am really losing my mind. I have spent HOURS on this...

I have tried so many fixes.

I am willing to try anything, otherwise this is going back to fitbit and i won't buy another one.
