Good question, @Andrew92 . My Versa spends most of its time on my wrist. But if I’m doing something that will keep my arms/hands immobile, I place it in a side pocket where it will better detect the motion of my hips. Third party vendors sell band expanders that allow the Versa to be worn at the ankle. I will place mine under my sock securely. A word of caution, your heart rate will be skewed if worn on the ankle. You may want to turn that feature off temporarily.
