Any other long time Fitbit users ready to jump ship?

I’ve used Fitbit since it was a belt clip (Ultra I think it was called?) and had a new upgrade every few years for the last decade or so. Recommended many people to jump on the bandwagon. I had very few issues back in the day and whenever I did have an issue customer service was great and problems were solved quickly. Had an Apple Watch when they first came out very briefly but went back to good old faithful Fitbit after a short time.

Jump to 2022, my Versa got waterlogged and all I got from customer service was money off of a new one. Considered jumping ship to Apple Watch rather than replacing but stuck with it as have always preferred Fitbit software.

2024 and I have constant issues with my Versa 3. It randomly disconnects from my phone all the time, I have to manually clear every notification as clear all doesn’t work and don’t even get me started on the new sleep stats appearance. It also randomly changes the time forward or back an hour every so often (nothing to do with daylight savings) and has to be reconnected to my phone to sort itself.

I’m looking around and Apple Watches seem to be getting better and better but unfortunately Fitbits seem to be going in the other direction (at least from my own experience). Anyone else noticing this or am I just unlucky and/or a Fitbit Karen?!

Hi @bex285 - unfortunately the V4 Fitbit App has numerous issues, it can lose connection and presentation is no longer particularly user friendly or functional.

The watch itself may be fine but if you have more than one device running the Fitbit App this can cause the time and sync problems, or even the clock face itself.

Try running with just the phone Bluetooth on and see if it stays synced better but you can't do anything about the app presentation other than use the online web dashboard which is being removed in a few days anyway.

Btw. An Apple watch doesn't have the same long battery life as a Versa 3.

I’ve only got the one device running the app so can’t try that fix. If I were guaranteed a device that would work effectively 90%+ of the time I’d be happy to charge it regularly.

Forgot to include my Aria scale no longer syncs as part of my rant. Rant over now I think.

@bex285 - thanks, if you have only one device it might help to try Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone as well as restarting the watch, in case the phone is playing up as well

Eventually removing the Bluetooth entries for the Versa 3 and setting it up sgai. With new Bluetooth entries might also help.
