Are WiFi issues from fitbit app update to blame for sync issues?

Hi all,

 

I posted yesterday about changes to my clock settings not updating on the Versa:

I am curious if an error message related to the WiFi settings may be to blame for everybody's sync issues. In the fitbit app, under the Versa device page > Wi-Fi settings (Setup Wi-Fi), I am experiencing the following two screens:

I'm not sure how much of the Versa-to-phone connection is dependent on WiFi, but I don't remember seeing these errors before having sync issues.

 

Is anyone else seeing similar errors?

 

Versa Firmware Version 32.32.10.15

Fitbit Android App Version 2.77

Pixel 2XL running Android 9

Hi @chugalug,

 

I haven't seen that particular error before. Fitbit uses Bluetooth Low Energy to perform shync, and Wi-Fi for firmware updates and music transfer. So a Wi-Fi error won't have any effect on sync.

 

Check for other nearby bluetooth devices that may be interfering during fitbit sync.

Work out...eat... sleep...repeat!

I am having a hard time changing my clock face. The message that comes back is that there is an issue connecting to Versa. This has been going on for days.

I purchased my Versa yesterday at Sams.  I have spent hours in three different locations trying to get it to connect to a network and it keeps telling me network not available or cannot connect.  I am returning my device to the store. It also will not work on bluetooth to do set up.  If anyone has any solution, please advise!  So frustrating
