Hello everyone,
Today I went on a hike and my Versa 2 auto recognized my exercise but it never asked me if I wanted to use GPS.
I know if you manually select an exercise the GPS is fine though.
I checked all my settings and everything seems to be ok. Am I missing something?
Thanks 🙂

Hello @Rich_Laue just to make sure I understand.
Yeah walk/hike I'll just leave it walk since it's pretty much the same thing.
Yeah I made sure my phone and the Versa 2 would show GPS. I can confirm that works good.
The only exercise that it auto detects with GPS is a run?
Other than that I would have to manually select a workout so GPS is recorded?
Correct?

Hello @steveojp your Versa 2 when it comes to auto detected exercises, only able to use gps with auto detected runs. You will need to turn on the GPS function for a run before you start the run to be sure detected.
As for hike, fitbit can auto detect a walk, but a hike will need to be manually started. Swipe up before starting and enable gps

Correct, but you do not want to select workout, which is for non syepping type of exercises.
You want to use walk or hike modes found on the tracker.
Why not tap the help link found below, then tap the picture of your tracker. On this page the user manual may be downloaded.
