BUG: "customize stats" option in Fitbit Exercise App resets to default

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

It's been almost six months, and none of the app updates have fixed this issue: Every time the Versa syncs with my phone, any custom exercise stats I had set on the Versa are returned to default. I've tried some of the workarounds including resetting the watch and turning off/on background sync but it's never a permanent fix. This is kind of bothersome for people who actually use the exercise functions a lot!

Added picture to clarify which option I am talking about:IMG_20181010_0101391~2.jpg

Hey @MrGlenn, it's great to see you here.

I think it would be great to have an option to save the exercises you created. Please take a look at the Custom Exercise/Activity request, vote for it and leave your comment.

@AlejandraFitbit

I think you misunderstand. I'm not asking for a new feature... I'm complaining an existing feature hasn't worked properly in months...

Im talking about the option to show certain stats on the screen when tracking exercises:Custom Stats optionCustom Stats option

 These options (top middle and bottom stat) should be saved but whenever the Versa synchronises they are reset to their default settings. So the settings have to be changed over and over and over...

People have been repeatedly complaining about this ever since OS2.0 was released but I haven't seen any official acknowledgment of this bug!

@MrGlenn You got it right, @AlejandraFitbit did not misunderstand, Fitbit just has a blanket policy of not admitting fault for anything. It's really a turnoff. This is a known bug and all the moderators have to know that by now, as there have been many posts on these forums about it. They play dumb every single time.

I'm *hopeful* that there might be a fix for the problem in the just released firmware, but who knows. I asked about it on the thread notifying about the firmware - first response - and the mods have been studiously avoiding me.

Someone needs to explain to Fitbit that you gain goodwill by admitting fault, promising a fix, then fixing the problem. Maybe they don't do the first, because they don't want to do the second and have no intention of doing the third?

@meresydotes

Thanks, I saw your reply in the firmware update thread and am really surprised it didn't get any sort of response.

Unfortunately most of the moderator contributions recently seem to be editing posts and titles to 'hide' negative feedback....

I still believe they are honestly working on fixes and improvements to the OS, but it is becoming more difficult to take that position seriously.
