Is this a defect with this particular style. I have used Fitbit for years and never had something like this happen, but the design seems flimsy and oddly made. Do others have this issue? Is it just me? I pull the lock back as much as possible when connecting the band. It only happens on one side of the watch. That lock seems weaker than the other when I take both bands off and inspect. However, there is barely anything on the band for the lock to grab hold of to hold onto when locked in. How do I remedy this? Do I just need to seek a refund? I have only had it about 1 week and it is driving me bonkers.

I am having the same issue. I'm chatting with customer service now.

Were you able to get an answer to the issue? I purchased a bracelet band from Amazon that is supposed to fit. The way it is made it should keep the whole band from falling to the ground if it unfastens. However, I am not sure if I should trust that the watch head won't unsnap from both and I will find it is missing too late.

I did get a reply that they would replace it for me. They sent me a new pebble (watch face) and it won't do a thing. I contacted customer service again via chat and they said they would email me, but I haven't seen anything. Now it's too late to return it (minus a $30 restocking fee), and I'm just screwed.
