Band will not stay in

I have a versa that is only 2.5 months old and during a long road trip yesterday, while I was sitting in the passenger seat doing absolutely nothing, the band with the buckle just came off. I have spent hours trying to get it back in, and the pin just pops right out. The pin alone will stay in but not with the band. I’ve never changed the bands. The other band with the slots was fine. I could take it off and on without issue. In the process of all this I’ve really hurt my nail beds. Every time I try to get the pin to pop in it is like shoving a safety pin in my nail bed and has split my nails as well. Very disappointed in this cheaply made product. I had an Alta prior to this and Flex, and both of those lasted a year before I had issues with the bands.

I have had a similar issue with the fat silicone band that I got with my new Versa just 3 days ago.

I spent waaay too much time trying to get one side to stay in, painfully piercing under my thumbnail while I tried and failed again and again. I had ordered a second band from a third party so now I am wearing one silicone color that came with the Versa and one fabric band of a different color because I'm too afraid to change the bands to match and don't want to waste the time.
