Battery and screen issues after updating my Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After the new update, my versa screen now flickers and moves around like it’s in use even though the screen isn’t being touched physically. Also, my Fitbit battery dies at lightning speeds. if I were to charge my Fitbit Versa for two days straight it would die pretty soon after a few hours... Regret doing an update now. Do not recommend it either. I sent an email about this new problem so let’s see what’ll happen now.

Hi there @MissDoe, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the inconveniences you started having with your Versa after the latest firmware update. I understand where your concern is coming from. I'll be glad to help you to get back on track.

While reading your post I understood that you contacted our Support Team, is that right? I couldn't find any open ticket on your behalf so that's why I'd like to clarify who you sent that email to.

In the meantime, I'd like to know if when you try charging your watch you receive the error "insufficient power source"? Is your Versa vibrating when you connect it to the charger? If you haven't done so yet, I'd recommend the following steps:

  • Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable using the instructions in How do I clean my Fitbit device?
  • If the error "insufficient power source" appears on your device's screen, remove other devices plugged in to your power source, or plug your device in to another source.
  • Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
  • Check the alignment and try reconnecting your device to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  • Restart your Fitbit. For more information, see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps to get the screen and battery behavior rectified.
