The most popular forum for people to voice pleasure or displeasure with an organization is in the marketplace. It is the true indicator of customer satisfaction, not some internet board.

99% of consumers will never just take the time to register comments- it is merely reflected in their shopping habits. Think about it- in the last month, how many things have you purchased? Did you take the time to write each company with your opinion of their product? No- you just based future shopping choices on those experiences.

Fitbit customers have been a very, very loyal customer base. The reason we are so vocal about our recent experiences is because we feel

like we have been betrayed by a brand we have trusted and stuck up for. I’ve given several trackers away as gifts. In fact, I’ve probably purchase 40+ trackers for myself, family, and friends since the FitBit One hit the shelf.

Some companies pay top dollar to research what customers want...

BTW- I taught as a professor in an MBA program. I do not claim to know everything nor that I am smarter than any other person. But I do know what I know.

With that said.....

FitBit is a great company. I wish every company would follow their lead.

They not only take great care of their customers’ needs, they promote world peace and feed poor children in Africa. They invest a lot of their profits into renewable energy and the management rescues hundreds of puppies and kittens from animal shelters each year.

What about the hungry people in the United States would be great to help the people in the country that made Fitbit  what it was to me Fitbit really does not care just hopping some one will buy the company before it goes under would never have happened if Fitbit would have taken care of it’s loyal customers instead of driving them away one dead battery at a time I would have been more than happy to replace mine again for the third time if I was treated better when I called instead of getting a brush off by the person on the other end of the phone then I feel insulted by the answer of a 25 percent off the purchase of a new Fitbit I understand mark up on electronics and that was a slap in the face and till it is made right I will not get off my soapbox I was once an advocate for Fitbit

I finally figured out why my step total was too high on certain days.

I now remove the tracker while I am surfing the Internet. It seems the five-knuckle shuffle will send your step count through the roof.

@Alaughter  my friend has to take her Fitbit off when she's knitting for the same reason. Wrist based trackers tend to pick up every movement of the hand. One reason I don't like pushing a shopping cart is that it doesn't track my steps!

It's nice to see you around, @Alaughter @Odyssey13

@Alaughter I am glad to hear you found the reason of your step count being too high on certain days. For most customers, the number of extra steps added by arm-based movement isn’t significant when compared to the overall stats. You can find more information about accuracy of Fitbit devices here

I"m on a different thread in this forum discussing how terrible my Versa was! I've been a loyal Fitbit customer for 8 years and my Versa broke twice! Like everything with Fitbit, they offered me a lame discount! I have recently moved on to Apple Watch--because SO MANY others from this community have recommended it and so far I'm happy! Please see the response from Fitbit customer service below. For Context: I was not satisfied with the response from the first rep during the chat and asked for my case to be elevated. The next level gave me the same response ("Sorry you are out of warranty so here is 25% off") and when I responded to that email, I received this sloppy response! SO DISAPPOINTED! Fitbit can, and should do better.

-------------- FITBIT'S REPLY 7 DAYS AFTER MY EMAIL:

Hi (misspelled name)

Thanks for getting back to us. This is not the experience that we want you to have.

Cases related to this may arise from different factors and as the operation of our products have dependencies or factors that we're unable to control.

We tried our best to look for options, (misspelled name). However, it shows here that your warranty has been expired. We know it's hard to earn money and we all want to get a product which will also last. And Fitbit is so generous to understand that situation that is why we still provide something to help our valued customer by providing discounts and help not to pay the full price.

We're really sorry for all the inconvenience and as I'd feel the same if I were in your situation.

We hope this gets you back on track.

Sincerely,
