Battery drain + inconsistency in steps

Hi!

I have had my Fitbit Versa for 4 days and I'm finding some issues already. I charged it this morning until it was 100%, it has the notifications on (but to be honest I haven't  received that many today) and it is tracking my heart rate most of the time (there were a couple of hours where I was literally doing nothing so I took it off and turned the heart beat off too). I went for a hike and the battery was pretty full before it. It was a bit less than an hour, I tracked it with my watch while I lisetened to music and the battery is halfway already. At this rate I'll have to charge it again tomorrow... I thought the battery life was 4+ days, and I know it varys depending on the use but I feel like this is extreme. Has anybody experienced the same?

Also, there is a huge incosistency with my steps and the kms I walk. Like doing 6.38 km and 8049 steps one day, amd 5.55 km and 11389 steps the next.

Is there any fix to any of this or did I just get a faulty Versa?

All of this is without the update installed yet (dodn't recieved it).

Thank you!

I'm on my second Versa because of the battery life. My 1st one died in under 2 days. That is with everything off like all day sync and notifications and the dimmest setting. My battery life on my second one is slightly better. I'm at 50% and it has been 38 hours. Any way you look at it, I'm not getting to 4 days.

Now, my sleep isn't tracking properly. I went to bend at 11pm last night and it didn't track my sleep till 1:30am. I guarantee you I was asleep those 2 hours.

My Charge 2 was a pretty perfect fitbit but these has been a nightmare so far.

Ok so the battery drain is probably because you have your notifications ON.  This drains the battery on both your phone and your Versa, so if you want to conserve battery, please consider disabling the notifications.  You can always turn them back on via the Device Settings in your app.  I only enable notifications on my Ionic when I know I'm going to be in a noisy area and may not hear my phone ring.

Second, the music is probably draining your battery as well.  While it's ok to listen to your music on your watch, it's probably not a good idea to listen to music on it consistently for long periods of time.  I don't even listen to music on my phone for more than half an hour at time.

At least try taking the notifications off and let me know how it goes.

@DramaQueenDiva I have turned off all notifications, turned off all day sync, dimmed the screen, turned off always connected, turned off keep-alive, turned off quick view, don't use any music, and am using a fitbit clock face. My first Versa lasted 43 hours after full charge and doing all that. My second one, that I'm on now, is at 49% after 38 hours. I'm going to get nowhere near 4 days. Also, one shouldn't have to turn off all the features in order to get to where the advertised battery life is at.

Now last night, it didn't track 2 hours of sleep. I went to bed at 11pm and it didn't show sleep starting until like 130am. I can guarantee you I was asleep during those 2 hours.

You can always adjust the Sleep logs by following the instructions here.  Just scroll down to the part that says "How Do I Edit A Sleep Log" and choose your OS.

@DramaQueenDiva I tried doing that and for the past 10 minutes my app has been "Recalculating your Sleep." I mean, I never had to do this with my Charge 2. Everything worked perfect.

Any suggestions with the battery situation? I feel like I've tried everything. Twice.

You might want to take a look at this article, it has more useful information about battery life and the "Wear And Care" of your Versa.
