Battery draining fast on Versa

Hi,

When my Versa charged to 100%, I purposely left it on the stand for 20 mins more. But it shows 99% within one min after I started to wear it. Any ideas? Defective?

I’ve had my versa Ltd edition since Christmas 2018. No complaints!  I had my first chance to swim in it last week and it was a “fail”!  Fortunately after several hours in rice—-it did revive.  But~~~the battery doesn’t last like it did.  I have to charge it every 15 hours now!  And of course it’s “out of warranty “. Be aware if you swim in your Fitbit.  There are a lot of posts about how they are advertised for swimming, but fail.

Hi! Wow to be honest I'm shocked that you had it that long with no issues.
You must have had a rare stellar unit. I had issues with all the ones that
I had. Battery issues/charging issues were the worst. I did shower and swim
in mine (granted I only swam in it a few times so I'm not sure if that's
what set off all the issues or not) and didn't have it completely die
after so? What I can tell you is is an inferior product compared to the
Fitbits that I have owned before. Customer service on this was not good
either. The last unit that they sent me has held its own fairly well but my
daughter is wearing it. I've moved on to Apple Watch. Good luck!

I am also on my second Versa the first quit charging and the current one started out amazing and is now not holing a charge for more than a day and a half, I’m super frustrated and have done all of the steps to correct this and nothing has worked. I quit Apple because of the frequent charging now I’m thinking I may have made a mistake.

The charging for Apple is my only disappointment. My disappointment with
Fitbit is the fact that they know Versa is bad and they are still selling
it under false pretenses. There are definite battery/charging issues with
the units. It was a great concept and they actually beat the Apple watch
on a couple of things (when the unit works correctly it, the charge holds
way longer than my Apple watch), and I feel like it almost tracks movement
a bit better however getting a working unit or keeping one working is the
trick. Good luck!

Exactly with the Apple! I knew up front. I thought the Versa was going to
be this do all fantastic product. From the marketing I thought it did most
things the Apple watch did. I was wrong. I never got around to putting my
music on it (did you see the instructions for that), you couldn't reply to
texts, and they replaced two units in less than a year. Loved all of my
Fitbits before Versa but they really dropped the ball on that one. I doubt
I ever buy another Fitbit again.

I tried all of these suggestions and the battery doesn't last 24 hours. Can the battery be switched out?

Sadly no. Call customer service. They will probably try a reset. If that
doesn't work they will have to replace. Good luck.

I've noticed problems with the batteries on my watch also. I got it a month ago and it was lasting 3 days. Now it's barely lasting a whole day even after fully charging. I haven't changed any settings!

Basically what happened with me. It will probably need replaced. Call
customer service first though and they will run you through some steps that
might fix it. Good luck! I switched to Apple watch. I have to charge every
night but at least I knew that up front....

My VERSA 2 was working pretty decent; even while I was doing beta testing as a Beta Tester.  When the Snore Ap came out I downloaded it and the first night it recorded and reported on my versa 2.

Then everything changed... my battery started draining immediately, and fast.   I worked on it myself for 2 days, removing the app, resetting, shutting down and re-installing my Versa2.  Finally called Service, and after a lengthy IM chat, I agreed to do a battery test.  After one day (as soon as my battery died and I could spend time troubleshooting with the service desk, it became apparent that I needed a replacement.  Received the replace within 7-8 days.   Set up the new VERSA., was very careful not to overload the battery with notifications, alarms and on screen display.   Uploaded the Snore Ap again, and it would measure on the Versa, but no report was given.

Battery started draining  again...  so I uninstalled, reset, rebooted and am not touching the snore ap.  My battery works at 75% of what I fist started with.

That's my experience, a little disappointed in the product - is all I can say.  (And I started with the Versa original - had it replaced 3 times and then upgraded to the Versa 2).  This is because my Company supports and acknowledges fitness reported through Fitbit!

Versa was a huge disappointment. There are issues with the units but they
continue to sell them even knowing the defects. They've lost me as a
customer and I've had several Fitbits that I loved. Versa changed
everything for me. I changed over to Apple watch. Good luck!

Had this issue with mine. My first versa stopped working after swimming (despite swim tracking???) So contacted support, got a new versa. New versa kept pressing random buttons, contacted support and got sent a 2nd replacement. Now this one is draining all battery in less than a day despite all settings being the same. I'm don't with Fitbit. Absolute waste of money.

Yes! Whereas Versa not only missed the mark I feel when compared to their
marketing. Not to mention the real issues that folks have with these just
doing the basics.

Mine seems to be draining faster too. I have had it since July 2019. Only takes about 4-5 days to drain completely to 20 percent now.

What did tech tell you that helped?

Call customer service first. They can walk you through some steps that
might help (complete reset). If that doesn't work the unit will need to be
replaced. Mine had to be replaced twice before I got a decent one. I moved
over to Apple watch. My daughter is wearing the Versa. The last one they
sent is still hanging in there. I guess third time really is the charm.
Good luck!

I've tried all of these solutions to no avail. My battery is at 100% at 8 a.m. and is at zero by 3 p.m. I have a Fitbit clock face, always-connected is disabled, as well as quick view. Can someone help me please?
