Hi,

When my Versa charged to 100%, I purposely left it on the stand for 20 mins more. But it shows 99% within one min after I started to wear it. Any ideas? Defective?

A night before, I charged my Versa. I then woke up the following night to check the time and it was dead. Why?

Well, I don't know why your Versa is losing battery (I don't work for
Fitbit).. but I do know you should call support. They were very helpful for
me, and because my Versa was less than 4 months old and still under
warranty, they sent me a new Versa.

I've been having the same battery drain issue that some other versa users have experienced. I got my versa this past June and it has worked fabulously, at least 3 days between charging, until now.

A couple weeks ago my sleep tracking suddenly stopped working and just gave the basic sleep stats rather than the detailed light/REM/deep sleep graph. I never changed how I wore it to bed and the problem corrected itself after I signed out and then back into the fitbit app. However, now my battery drains in 24hrs or less.

I've turned off the always sync and connected features. I don't use apps that keep the watch face on nor do I listen to music through my versa or have an interactive/animated watch face. So I'm really at a loss for why the battery is draining so fast. I've tracked it over the last three days:

1/25/19
--1pm 100% after charging since around 11
--6:30pm 77%
--10:30pm 58%

1/26/19
--10am 6% up on waking up
--2pm 100% after charging
--4pm 93%
--1230am 56%

1/27/19
--8am 20%
Charged till 12
--12pm 10%
--11pm 54%
Died before 9am Monday morning

Any thoughts as to what might be going on?

I just got my Fitbit for christmas and it was last for around 4 days until about a week ago. Now it barely lasts a full day. I have tried restarting it, turned off all other functions and followed all the charging recommendations and it still hasn't improved. I am very disappointed in this product...who should I contact about a return or a replacement?

Not good. Call support. I bet they'll send you a new one after they
instruct you on a test they need. They sent me a new Versa and it is
working fine.

Hi there,

I have the same problem and some more problems with my fitbit versa.  Where can I find help?

I called support and they helped me quickly and efficiently. First, they
were able to connect to my Versa and verify the battery was draining. Then
they made sure I had background drains turned off (they assisted me), then
we did a 24 hour test and I gave them the results. Then they sent me a new
Versa.

link to Versa help/support web page

Scroll down this page and on the lower right will be a box that says: Let's
Talk. and a button "Get Support". Start there and chat with the support
person. Then you will be communicating via email with the support person as
the process continues over the next day or two.

Q: My new Versa, purchased late January, started not recording sleep stages after a month of perfect use.  The battery also started to drain more quickly. I have just gone through most of the tests and am now draining the battery to almost zero. One online chat person said the battery was faulty and sent a replacement. Another, who is having me run the battery draining test what's,  said although they were sending a replacement it might NOT solve the problem. The sleep stages recorded perfectly for 30 days and I'm doing nothing differently. Q: After the battery drains -- I'm still running the battery test while the new one is in the mail -- what do I do? With nothing going on and all the automatic updates turned off, I'm going into 5 days, but what good is the Versa when the advertised features don't work? Can I just tell them when it drained then recharge it?

I recorded the exact time it took to drain (time from full charge to time
of drain) and gave them that information. Then I recharged until I got my
new Versa. I've had the new Versa for several months with no issues.

My Fitbit Versa was doing the same thing. I kept it in its box for months. I called Fitbit and the company gave me some instructions you can find on the company’s website. I reset everything on my Versa. Then I set up my Versa as if I had just purchased it. During the setup, I downloaded the update. Now it runs for about a day and a half. I charge it every night so the battery was not fully drained. Now, I only turn on features I use which are the basic features. I did this about a week ago. Still running over a day. Now, if you use the watch with all its health features, I am not sure if the battery would do as well.

Spoiler
I've had my Versa Lite less than a week. After its initial charge it lasted 4 days, but last night I charged it for 2 hours and this morning it's already down to 80% and as I type this it's dropped to 76. I've changed nothing at all since the initial setting up.  I sync with my PC so it's not 'always on'. I'll watch it today but it doesn't look promising.

Sorry about the 'spoiler' post above, I have no idea how I managed that. I'll re-post here just in case it's causing difficulty.
