Battery draining fast on Versa

Hi,

When my Versa charged to 100%, I purposely left it on the stand for 20 mins more. But it shows 99% within one min after I started to wear it. Any ideas? Defective?

I did the same!

It would do no good. From this feed though I gather they've lost some
customers over all of this.

I agree I have called 4 times in the last few months and they kept saying that they are fixing the bugs and I should wait. My batter is fine after they replaced it 6 months ago but now because of the IOS updates in the last 4 months I got get calls or texts the latest solution they tell me is I should switch from iPhone to android give up a $1000 phone that works ABSOLUTELY fine and move to android so my Fitbit can work what stupidity! That put me over the edge

I have a versa and have gone through the battery draining issue also. I
switched over to an Apple Watch and I love it. The new ones that recently
came out are sleeker and not as bulky as before. I would take the jump if
I were you!! I really loved the purple color of my versa but that Watch
sucks

Went through the same issue.  My original versa got replaced three times by the store before they finally terminated that program.  That third original versa ended up lasting about a year and a half before finally succumbing to the battery issue.  When I called Fitbit, they said there's nothing they could do and sent me a 25% off certificate for another watch, however since it was around Christmas and their promotional price was the same as 25% off that meant that there really was no additional incentive (same low price).

I did weigh the pros and cons of the Apple Watch, but ultimately I went with the Versa 2 because:

1.  Fitbit does have far better analytics and fitness tracking than Apple

2.  I wouldn't use most of the Apple Watch apps/features

My logic was why pay for a watch with limited fitness tracking capabilities and that needs to be recharged daily (no sleep tracking either)?

So for the Versa 2 has been great and no issues.  Its a bit sleeker (cleaner and crisper colors), faster, and I'm very happy with it.

Just my 2c

I’m the originator of this email. I had no idea it would spark this much
conversation.
Fortunately my replacement Fitbit is still working fine and has had no
battery draining issues.
Like many others I have toyed with the idea of buying an Apple Watch but
the expense for value just doesn’t make sense to me. I’m glad to see that
early reports of the Versa 2 show that they may have finally corrected the
battery issue. It looks like the Versa 2 may be my next
replacement/upgrade.

I switched to the Apple watch as well! With an inferior product and
terrible customer service just from seeing replies on this thread alone
Fitbit is losing customers and doesn't seem to mind.

My charge 3 dies within 24 hours of charging plus my charger chooses when it will charge my watch.  What can I do to get it to work?

You'll have to call customer service. They will probably suggest cleaning
the contacts. Good luck!

I have the same issue.  Won't last a day.  First it lasted 3 days, which I was told would last up to 7 days before charging.  I've already shut down (always on display), don't use any of the apps, except to sync to my phone and get text and phone calls (of which there are few during the course of a day).  What gives?

Charged it overnight.  Versa 2 displayed 100%, phone displays 60%.  Put it on and in 15Mins. the battery drained down to 64%.  I literally walked out of my house and up two blocks!  The only apps I use is the weather app, text messages.  The clock faces are worthless now because you state using them causes battery drain.  What good is it then?  Help!

You'll have to call customer service. They'll take you through cleaning the
contacts and a few other steps including usually a reset. Mine had to
completely sure before they would replace it. The lights on the back seemed
to make a difference there. When new all the lights were lit, when having
problems less and less of them were lit. When it completely died nothing
would light up on the back. Good luck with customer service. Fitbit is not
what it used to be. I no longer recommend them at all. They were my tracker
go to. Not after my Versa experience.

I've been with Apple watch now for several months. Sad that Fitbit failed.

no one no one no one responds to the issues. Husband's garmin lasts over a
week and it has gps tracking all the time. This was a waste of money. I'm
resigned to charging every other night and one day getting the garmin. I do
like downloading music to the watch and walking less than 45 minutes
listening to music without having to have my phone in my hand to connect
well with headphones. It's the only plus, but it causes me to charge every
other night for less than 45 minutes of music. Versa 2 was a waste for
me.

The Versa was indeed a fail and instead of pulling the product when they
realized there was a problem they continued to sell them. Not smart. Add
that with horrible customer service and you have a serious problem. They
might not feel it for awhile but I think Versa will hurt them business
wise for awhile. I switched over to the apple watch and am very happy with
it. Good luck!
