Battery draining fast on Versa

Hi,

When my Versa charged to 100%, I purposely left it on the stand for 20 mins more. But it shows 99% within one min after I started to wear it. Any ideas? Defective?

@Jayelo I didn't look right away when I took it off the charger. I mean the exact second I took it off, it still had 100. I do remember looking a little bit later and it was at 99. In fairness though, it stayed at 99 for quite awhile.

@LucyAP Absolutely! I'm happy to help if I can. Like I said before, I want to love this watch and make it work. 🙂

My update: After I did a factory re-set this morning around 9 am, I’ve taken off some apps and I left the blue tooth off . All day sync is usually off so I’ve done multiple manual syncs today. I’ve played with some apps and fiddled with some watch and app settings. I also did an exercise shortcut. As of tonight 9pm my battery reads 80%. I’m guess that’s good. I’ll see how much I lose overnight. When my battery was good, I lost about 5%. So hopefully I’ll lose about the same. Keeping my fingers crossed....

@cath1971 Wow. That’s pretty good. Mine lost 10% overnight and is now at 64% on my second day. My watch isn’t going to last till tomorrow. This is such a bummer. Now after my factory re-set my sleep track is off. I’m so losing faith in Fitbit. I’m seriously debating if I should return this. I really liked it when I first got it. Now it’s just going downhill.

@Jayelo My battery life is still crazy good after my factory reset. I'm 41 hours in and I'm at 80%. I feel like that is too good to be true.

My newest issue is sleep tracking. I feel like it is always missing hours. I went to bed at 11:30 last night and when I checked this morning, it didn't say I went to bed until 1:16am. Definitely not true.

@pif130 Man, I wonder if I need to do another factory reset? But my sleep track has always been spot on until now. So I need to figure out what to do about that. I’m seriously thinking about returning this but I really don’t want to. But I’m not keeping this watch if I gotta charge it every other day.

I’m doing a second factory re-set. If this doesn’t do the trick then I will have to exchange for another one.

@Jayelo Any luck? I don't know what exactly happened with mine but after my reset/update, the battery has been gold. It is now 65 hours since I took it off the charger and I'm at 67%. That is tracking out to like 8 days of battery life.

My sleep tracking worked perfect last night but the night before it didn't. I had to edit it. And it tracked a nap I took yesterday afternoon. It didn't measure the stages, but it recognized I was asleep for an hour. That was new.

@pif130 I was getting decent battery life since around 7ish last night. It was showing 81%. So that was good.  After I got home from a Zumba class, synced my Fitbit, it wouldn’t turn back on. Can’t reset it. Can’t factory reset. It only shows a weird screen. I can’t turn it on at all now. Can’t exchange it at the store since they all out of stock. This is getting ridiculous. I’m so mad and disappointed.

@Jayelo oh wow! I'm sorry to see that. If it isn't one thing it is another. I really hope you can get it worked out. I also hope when the new firmware update comes through that it fixes a lot of the issues everyone is having.

@Jayelo It is a shame that a watch that is pretty darn great looking and checks off so many boxes, can have so many issues right off the bat.

@pif130 I totally agree. I’m willing to give it another shot but to wait for the store to restock (and they can’t guarantee when they will get some in) is also ridiculous. I’m waiting on Fitbit.  I’m impatient. I’ve waited long enough for the Versa to come out. Searched high and low for one and now this. It’s quite frustrating. I think I’m more frustrated because the Versa I had had little issues with it besides the battery (which was showing improvements) right before it died. I have a 50/50 chance of getting a better one or one with more problems.

I have had mine now for over 1 week, and lose about 8 % overnight.

At night I have quick view turned off, and last night I lost 30%. Have to do a quick charge this morning, and have only used 11% today. So don't know what happened last night.

It would be good to be able to see a graph of battery usage, like you can see in our phone. Will we ever get that..

That sounds good compared to mine, I put it on to sleep at 100% and it’s dead by 5am and I’ve got all notifications and activations, sync switched off. Gutted it’s only 5 days old. Will contact help desk

Sorry about this guess I just don’t understand why the suggestion is to turn off notifications and apps .... isn’t this the features we want when we purchased the Versa. I’m patiently waiting for my second one to arrive and start wearing it again. Please hurry Fitbit.

I charged my versa Sunday at 4, it's Friday at 4 and I have 7% battery right now. So that's five days. I really don't do much with it. No music, non otifications, all day sync off and auto screen off. I just need it to track for me. I sync it multiple times a day and use to for some workouts for about an hour plus each time.
