Battery draining fast on Versa

Hi,

When my Versa charged to 100%, I purposely left it on the stand for 20 mins more. But it shows 99% within one min after I started to wear it. Any ideas? Defective?

Hello, after charging, the battery is lasting less than 24 hours.  I have taken all steps that were given on previous posts like reduce back light, take off notifications, and so on.

This has been going on the last week.

Thanks for your help.

Thank you

My fiance's versa started draining fast last week, mine is working normally. We verified we have the same settings but she is only getting 24hrs on a charge, I'm getting 4+ days. Only difference is hers is special edition and mine is regular. Went through steps outlined above and no change. I'll have her chat with support group.

very similar story.  Everything was great until 2-3 days ago. Now the battery is draining flat in less than 24 hours.  I charge to 100% in the morning, then by 3am its dead.

@kiwi61 Phone model and OS. Versa firmware version? Also, does your Versa sync without any issues?

Been waiting over 5 weeks for replacement to arrive, they still haven't shipped it according to their web site.

Good way to get rid of the frustration is to get a refund and get something else. I loved my Fitbit’s until I tried the Versa.

I got mine a few days back. Battery seemed to last roughly a day. Yesterday though, it was dead by 4pm and I have charged it full the night before. Last night I charged it to 90 percent. It's 8am right now and my battery is on 10 percent. It keeps saying how music is failing to download, I'm assuming this is why it is dying so fast but without deleting music entirely I don't know how to stop download.

Either way battery has not even closely lasted 4 days. Probably take it back today.

@kiwi61 I would try factory reset (resetting Versa to defaults). I know some users for whom the factory reset restored battery to normal. If factory reset doesn't help, I'm afraid you might have to contact Customer Support to guide you through the next steps.

I’m not going to delete music and apps, I got the watch to use. I really love my Apple Watch, I really didn’t want to leave Fitbit because it’s really a better fitness watch just didn’t have a choice. Good luck with your decision.

If it is a firmware issue I wish they would just admit that and fix it.  It does make sense in that my Versa was good for 4 months.  Lasted 4 days and recharged roughtly twice a week.  Then the week before christmas it went from 100% charge to 0 in less than 24 hours.  The only way to use it was to charge it night and morning.  Why the sudden change?

Anyway - a replacement on the way but I am nervous the same might happen. In the mean time I am back to using FItbit Charge.  Similar features but I liked the bigger screen with the Versa.

That is what I did at first. Customer service had me do the reset and then I was told not to charge it and call back when the battery emptied, which was a matter of hours. That's when they knew it was a battery issue and sent my replacement.

It sounds like you have one of the faulty ones. I would suggest contacting
Fitbit support as you may need a replacement.

Good luck.

I thought I was upgrading by going from my 2 year-old Fitbit Blaze to the Versa.  Very disappointed.  Even though the Blaze is over 2 years old, the battery life is great.  I charge it every two or three days and it only takes about 30 minutes for a full charge.

The Versa barely makes it a day and it takes over 2 hours for a full charge.

I'm sticking with the Blaze and will seek a refund for the Versa.  Very disappointed with Fitbit for marketing a "Four-Day battery".
