Battery gone in less than 20 hours and step counting issue

Hi, in the last fortnight my Versa battery has been draining on a daily basis, the step counter and heart rate have stopped working. I’ve noticed that even when the heart tracker did work in the last few weeks that it often gave a heart rate of over 170 when I was sitting watching TV and over 200 when exercising. I love my Versa and would love for this issue to be resolved. I’ve shut it down, I’ve restored the factory settings, I’ve turned off all notifications (but I don’t feel I should have to do that) and I’ve deleted and reinstalled the Versa from the app and resynced it. I’m disappointed. The watch is over a year old but I look after it really well.

I've been having the same issue as well.  Versa not recording steps, etc., and the battery draining in a day.  Today, the time was wrong by more than four hours.  I did a re-start which fixed the time but it's still not recording steps.

Actually, mine started with the time being wrong a few times since April. I didn't really mind that as it still worked for exercise, even though it's primary function as a watch should be important. The battery drain just happened so suddenly, I don't know what to think. A lot of complaints have been made about it, it seems that there is a genuine problem with the fitbit Versa battery.

I’m having a similar issue.  My battery drains in about 3 hours.  It worked great just a few weeks ago.  I’ve tried everything mentioned but it is out of warranty.

I contacted customer support via chat and I found the customer service excellent. I was delighted to find out that I’m still under warranty and I’m receiving a new one. I have no hesitation about recommending Fitbit to anyone due to the fantastic support I received from Dean. One thing that he asked me was if the lights at the back of my watch were working- and it was then I realised that my green light was very dim and not flashing. So check for this too. He recommended a restart which he said generally fixes issues like this but it didn’t work for me.

But if a lot of us are having the same problem (which I am with the battery) then it is something they did either to the App update or the Versa update both of which were in the last 2 weeks, It reminds me of when Apple did that update years ago which made the older phones loss their charge.

If this is the case then they either need to make new updates or replace all of us if still in warranty or not.
