I got my Versa back in December. For the most part I have to charge it every 3 days or so. Jog around 4 times a week. No assisted GPS, only bluetooth headphones. Has been working great, until yesterday. Battery was at about 40% by noon. Between 4 and 6pm I got a notification that the battery was low. I decided to wait so I could charge it overnight. By night time about 8sh pm I noticed that Versa was fully dead. Right after I charged it to 100% and went to sleep wearing it. By 6am the battery was down to 44%! I spent this morning doing a factory reset. By now, it has been less than hour since it finished resetting and the battery is already down to 94%. I did not make any changes to the settings before or after this happened, so I have to assume that this is a matter of faulty hardware or something wrong with the software. Yes I had to go through latest update which took a while to install. The Versa syncs continuously like before and I have notifications on like before. Like I said nothing changed and the battery used to last me about 3 days. Please if I should contact customer service. Regards.

You're lucky - I have been having to charge every 3 hours when I remember! I phoned the help line (0800 069 8505 8am -7pm Mon - Fri) who advised an update. I'm waiting to see if it makes a difference but they said if it didn't then it would have to go through the factory setting. If that didn't work they said they could replace the battery (not sure if that will cost me though!)

I did the whole battery test and they realized that it is faulty so they are shipping me a replacement. After 2+months of working fine and then happening is a big bummer. So used to using my Versa. I hope that the new one does not fail. I see a lot of threads in this message board from people with battery issues. The faulty one is now totally dead now. I tried charging it overnight to no avail. I wonder if it just got "nullified" since I am getting a new one..?

I experienced the same problem. One tracker was about 4 months old. It was replaced and had the same issue within 1 day. I did the recommended steps without success. An order was put in for a replacement on 2/14/19 but I have not gotten a follow up ad to shipping. Can’t get any answers when I contact customer service support.

At this point I am a bit scared that once I get the replacement I will go through the same thing. I am losing faith on this FitBit attempt at smart watches. I just do not want to have to go through this again. I am scheduled to receive the replacement on 2/25. As of now I have a fully defunct Versa on my wrist. Apparently there is nothing to be done to revive it... Will keep you posted. regards.

I am waiting to get my Versa replacement also. This will be my 3rd Versa in less than 4 months. Hopefully Fitbit has worked out the issue and that our replacements will do well.

I am now waiting for the replacement tracker. I got the option to purchase a new one with 50% off or the replacement but I didn't want to pay out more money. I'm worried now that the replacement won't last either! 😞

I am having the same worry, however, I sure hope that my replacement will work. Will keep you posted. I use mine for health purposes.

Do you know if we are getting refurbished/recycled units? I should have done more research before getting this watch. Too many issues with the overall lifespan of the device. The attractive issue about this watch is its advertised battery life. If this is no longer a selling point for them, then this venture into the smartwatch realm may be a dud. FITBIT get your act together!

I don't know what exactly I'll be getting. They called the replacement a tracker so whether it is a whole new unit or reburbished part I have no idea! I'll let you all know when I've received it!

I got mine yesterday and everything seems great. I am still a bit nervous as the first one started to malfunction 2+ months after I purchased it. I really like this device and I hope I do not have to go through this in a while. Does anybody know what is the lifespan of this device? Thank you and best regards.

Do yo guys think this is worth it? I know it is not a FitBit product but I have read that if you put a case cover on the Versa, it will not fit in the charging cradle.

Hi Salcy, I've never felt the need to have any protection on my watch so I wouldn't know if it's worth having. So far the battery in my new tracker is holding up well, but I did change the screen so that I had to touch the left hand side button to see the time, i.e. it doesn't keep coming on when I move my wrist. I hope you all are well.
