I have my Fitbit Versa Lite for about 1 y and 6 months, its battery has always lasted up to 4 days (what I considered an amazing timing for a smartwatch) however about 1 month ago it suddenly started draining really fast (lasting half a day) and I didn't do anything different from what I was used to, the issue really started out of the blue. Yesterday I was normally charging it, as usual, and the device started to get really hot. I unplugged and for my surprise it didn't turn on anymore. I tried to charge directly from my notebook and also connected to a charger device, but no success (same problem, getting hot). One month ago I tried to contact Fitbit support thru the chat communication to check the battery draining issue, but I received an email closing the case with the information that nothing could be done for me. I'm really disappointed, it's a very short time using the watch for it to just stop working. I really need assistance, I don't want to simply lose my watch.

Unless there is a fault with your current clock face [try changing to another] seems like this is a common issue. Possibly due to a recent update, if it was working before.
In which case its probably best to inform Fitbit Support again directly. They may be able to help you this time.

I have a Versa and I've had the same issue with mine! I have to charge once a day or at least every other day now.

This is really sad.
I contacted the support and I got the very same answer from my last attempt (but back in that time, my watch at least was tuning on), that nothing can be done, and my product doesn’t meet the replacement requirements of our warranty policy. It means that in 1 year and a half using the watch properly, I'll have to simply discard it (throw it in the trash) because there is no solution from FitBit support's side.
This is simply unfortunate, I really like the FitBit watch but I won't recommend it to anyone else. I'm outraged!!!

It is a Fitbit problem introduced by the latest updates. Numerous people have it now, its not only happening on your watch.
Along with the new updates, some people's watches are losing time, having high battery drain, syncing problems, and inaccurate heart rate, that weren't there before.
Whatever you do, DO NOT factory reset your watch, unless Support tells you to and agree to replace it if it fails.
Try Fitbit Support again. They must be aware of the problem and may be able to help you.

My watch is 1-1/2 years old, and in the last couple of days the battery life lasts only a half day. I don't use all the apps on it, just the essentials. If there is a problem with the battery life, and it should be replaced, these are not cheap watches. If no action is taken, then legal action and a write up will be done. After reading what you went through and others , this is the only course of action..

Hi my friend, yes this is sad. I've reached out to Fitbit support for several times to try a replacement, once of course this is not fair (about 1 y usage with problems) and I got a no as a final answer. Now my watch is sitting here useless and I'm planning to buy another one once I can, but this time I'll probably buy an apple watch. I really loved my Fitbit, but unfortunately I got really disappointed. I really hope you get luckier.
