Battery life after app update

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have seen real deterioration in how long a charge lasts since the new android app update was installed on my phone.  I used to last 4+ days and now it is about 3 days.

Has anyone had this happen?  My settings are the same.

Welcome to the Forums, @laurebabus

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding your Versa's battery draining faster than expected since the new Android app update. I understand how you are feeling as your settings are the same. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Switch to a Fitbit clock face if you're using a third party clock face: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?
  2. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Charge the watch to 100% and use it like normal.

For additional tips to prevent the battery drain, please see this help article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Let me know how it goes!

I charged my fitbit up last night (99%) and by 3.15pm it ws on 32%. By 9.30pm my battery was 0%. This has only happened since the new update.

Not happy!!!!!!!

I'm having the same problem.  It has drained down to zero daily since the update.  I had it on the charger for 3 hours this morning for 100% charge and by 7 pm, it had drained down to zero.  Really frustrated over this.

Hello,

I am having the same issue! Since the latest update!

I have shut down the fitbit, even factory restored it and it still drains super quick!

I charge it to 100% at 8am and it runs out of battery the same day hy 5pm!

I have even swapped to a basic clock with no impact!

What else can I do?

Thanks,

Louise

I have followed the instructions to take everything off the fitbit like clock faces etc. Everythig is set to the bare minimum and I am still getting a drained battery within 24hrs of charging and my fitbit constantly switches itself off, even when I set it to records exercises. I'm angry that this has happened as I dont see anywhere there is a solution to fixing this problem. I have had my fitbit Versa for just under 2

years and have never had a problem with it until this update. Now I cannot even use it to tell the time as its constantly switching itself off. I want this sorted asap. I have always told my friends and famiily about fitbit and they all have them. But I certainly wont be recommending them now.
